The superalloy family is known for its resistance to high temperatures and stress in severely corrosive environments. In addition to corrosion resistance and stress resistance, these alloys are known for its ease of welding and fabrication. Forged primarily from nickel, some types of super alloys are common in nuclear reactors, chemical reactors and pipes & valves in chemical installations. While used mainly in the chemical processing industries, superalloys are sometimes present in health, energy, oil & gas and pharmaceutical industries.
